Where CFB stands today
Straight talk: a real staked CFB edge needs point-in-time weekly ratings, the team's strength as it was the morning of kickoff, not a single end-of-season snapshot. SP+ here is the year's final grade, which is honest context but knows things the market did not when the line was set. We are backfilling those weekly ratings now.
So for the moment CFB is research and context, not a graded lean. Use these ratings, results, ELO, and closing numbers to sharpen your own read. When the point-in-time data is in place, CFB research is built with the same transparent, sample-first standard.
